Wanted

The Small black metal "box" that fits high up, inside a Featherweight case.

When I purchased my Featherweight 222k and case last year, it was missing the small black metal box that is approx 6"x2"x2" and attaches to the inside of the case by a couple of screws, high up inside the case, next to the metal fitting that holds the oil can. Otherwise the case is in good shape. The case itself measures 14"x8"x11".

For Sale

Regrettably I must sell my electric Willcox & Gibbs Chain stitch machine that is in its original cabinet. It has the original booklet of "Directions for using" with it; however, the pages are all loose however all 40 pages and the front & back covers are there. I have been told that these machines are sought after for conversion to treadle. I do not know the age of this machine, but the last patent date on the bed is August 28, 1894. The number on the name plate is 31570.

Also included are some needles, the original box of attachments and a separate box containing an "improved tucker". The wiring is original and includes the unique foot pedal which is shaped like a shoe. The decoration on this machine is lovely and I have done nothing to clean it, not knowing what is best to use.

I will send pictures to anyone who has an interest. I am located in No. California and would prefer not to ship this machine. But could cooperate with a Pony Express set up.

Even if you are not interested, I'd appreciate anyone's feedback about this machine's worth or usability.

When requesting pictures, if you have a specific thing you want to see, please tell me. I have taken a few pictures already in preparation.

I was told this pretty machine was purchased by the original owner in the early 1900's. In the late 1960's the doctor for whom I worked before retirement bought the practice of an elderly doctor which was housed in a home/office set up. He agreed to care for the doctor's wife in the home until her death and this was her machine.

I was given this machine in lieu of a $400 bonus I had earned and I'm asking $300 or best offer. It's possible that I may have made a bad deal with my boss! <vbg> My name is LouAnne Sassone and my email is lasassone@aol.com and I'd love some feedback at least.

WW#9 in cabinet. Has at least one bobbin, possibly 2. Needs screws to hold the bobbin cover plate on. Has a minor problem that needs work somewhere under it. Someone from TO sent me instructions to do the fix, I just never got around to doing it. Cabinet has 4 drawers.

Godzilla 66 electric, in good condition, in cabinet with drawers, I think it just needs the tension adjusted.

New Companion/New Home Treadle on cabinet base with 4 drawers. It is a coffin top, but I don't have the top to it. Leaf tension on top of the arm. Sewed well last time I used it.

White FR in cabinet with 6 drawers. 5 bobbins. The front of the cabinet lifts when you open the machine.

White Treadle cabinet only, no machine. 4-6 drawers, one was repaired before I got it and doesn't match.

Singer Rocketeer in original case with attachments.

Pictures of the WW#9, Godzilla and New Companion can be seen in my album at Webshots.com, member CrazieKaren. The Sewing Machine Album. The pictures are titled. I'm sorry I don't have pictures of the others.

I live in Mankato MN, and would like these picked up ASAP. I'd like $50 each OBO.

Thank You

Wanted

I recently bought a beautiful hand crank Singer 28K. I need a bobbin shuttle case, bobbins and a rear bobbin case cover for it. I only have the front cover, and would be willing to buy a matching set of covers if available. The machine according to the serial number appears to be a 28K model made in the Kibowie, Scotland plant between June and December of 1901. There were 125,000 machines alloted in that period and to date I'm having a heck of a time finding these parts. I would also love to get my hands on a manual so I could figure out how to thread the darn thing. Hope you can help. I'm in Lincoln Nebraska.

Wanted

Singer model 27 or 28 or similar Singer VS type machine with a known and tested working bobbin winder and that sews properly. I don't want a collectible, it doesnt have to be pretty, just an honestly represented machine that works properly for a fair price.

For Sale

I am trying to wean myself from sewing machines, so prices are attractive and well below the live auction prices I paid.

These machines are perfect for anyone attending or having access to the Portland TOGA. I can carry one treadle to the meeting and any others can be picked up at my house, which is about 20 miles from Mary Rust's house.

I have two Singer 99 machines that I am giving away FREE, one each with two of the treadles. First come, first choice.

There may be more shown in Webshots than I have listed here because I still have more to shift to the front of the stash after I post this message.

1907 NEW HOME TREADLE, "LIGHT RUNNING" in 4-DRAWER, DROP LEAF CABINET. Both head and cabinet in very good condition; includes manual, shuttle, bobbins, needles, and box of attachments. FREE Singer 99 included, $125

1915 WHITE FR TREADLE, in 4-DRAWER DROP LEAF TWIGGY CABINET. Both head and cabinet in very good condition; includes manual, box of attachments, buttonholer, and more than 2 dozen bobbins. FREE Singer 99 included, $125

1909 SINGER 27 TREADLE IN 7 DRAWER EMBOSSED CABINET, DROP LEAF. Both head and cabinet in good condition; includes manual and attachments. $70

HARRIS VS TREADLE, 27 clone, has shuttle and bobbin, no cover; round needle plate missing, but can give you one from a 27 that can be easily modified. $30

W & W 9 TREADLE, head in working order, with bobbin and copy of manual, but cabinet needs work. We has dismantled it but still have all parts. $25

JONES FAMILY CS HANDCRANK, includes cover, manual, shuttle, and bobbin, front slide plate missing. $35

1960 SINGER SPARTAN, unusual in that it is in a small cabinet, similar to spartan #72 and only 20-1/2 inches wide. Good condition, $30

28 CENTENNIAL BLACKSIDE WITH BLUE EMBLEM, portable electric. $25

Wanted

I'm looking for manuals for the following Domestic sewing machines:

  • Domestic A
  • Domestic B
  • Domestic C
  • Domestic D
  • Domestic Rotary Type 1
  • Domestic Rotary Type 2

You can see what the machines look like here. The rotaries are NOT the Domestic 69 or the later ones with the t-shirt plate made by White.

If you have one that I could buy a copy or scan of, I would appreciate it!
