If, perhaps after a visit or two, you should decide to take out citizenship by subscribing to the Treadle On list, you will become a Treadleonian, frequently called "Onions", receiving either the Digest List or the Full Response list. Subscribing to Treadle On represents a certain commitment to the objectives of the list, which is devoted to the use of, as well as the collection of, antique sewing machines, and shows the kind of adventurous spirit that should stand you in good stead as you venture forth into Treadleonia, learning of it's treasures of wealth and knowledge and of it's perils. With the award of citizenship, you will receive a Royal Grant of 10 "sewing machines", the large, very heavy iron coins that are the currency of the country. You are honor bound to keep track of your currency. At various times in your travels you will be charged admissions, may lose coins, or may find or earn more. As in any new country, knowledge of the customs is valuable, and it is recommended that you visit the Royal Library at The University of Treadleonia early in your travels.
