Heads up! This is important! Subscribing/unsubscribing, etc. are accomplished as follows:

Go to the Quiltropolis (QTP) home page at www.quiltropolis.com

Click on "Mail Lists" - you'll get a page with a list of all the Quiltropolis supported mailing lists. Find and check "Treadle On" and then below there are keys to join or leave.

Many folks find the high volume of messages on Treadle On a problem. There is a digest version, that comes as grouped messages. When you first subscribe you will have option of checking digest. If you want to change from regular to digest later, or to suspend delivery, scroll down the page... after the simple list of titles and the join/leave keys, there is a much longer list of separate entries with the list names and a statement about each list. The list names in this section are links to the server - NT and permit access to your personal subscription.

Click on the "Treadle On" name in this section. An NT screen will appear and has two block sections in it... an upper box labeled "Anonymous Access" and a lower one labelled "NT List Administration". You can't access List
Administration, so forget it. In the upper box, which has two entries, type "treadleon" in the top line (note: all small case and one word), and your email address in the second line. This will take you to another NT page. At the top will be two buttons... "Action" and "Archive". Click on Action and it will take you to your account page... you can make various changes, most commonly switching between digest and regular, or suspending service temporarily. If you click on "Archive", you go to the archives and can review past messages.

I would advise that you save and/or print out these instructions... they could be useful.
