Unit 4 Instructions

Here we go on Unit 4 of this project. This is the last unit before assembly of the basic top.

Cut the following:

Either Yellow (I used the brighter): 6.5" x 12.5"

Lilac: 6.5" x 17.5"

Lilac: 6.5" x 23.5"

Dark Orange: 6.5" x 17.5"

Dark Orange: 6.5" x 6.5"

Light Orange: 6.5" x 6.5"

Moss Green: 5.5" x 11.5"

Unit 4 - Sub 1

Assemble the 17.5" Lilac and the 17.5" Dark Orange as shown.

Unit4 - Sub 2

Add the 12.5" Yellow piece to Sub 1 as shown.

Unit 4 - Sub 3

Assemble the 6.5" dark Orange, the 11.5" Moss Green, and the 6.5" Light Orange as shown.

Unit 4 - Sub 4

Add the 23.5" Lilac to Sub 3 as shown.

(Note: the dark "blop" on the fabric is simply the steam iron spitting. I don't believe there is any such thing as a decent steam iron. I have tried everything from cheapies to the most expensive Rowenta's, and there isn't one that is worth the cost of a trip to the dump. I think I will go to hand spraying and using a dry iron.)

Unit4 - Finished Assembly

Join Sub 2 to Sub 4 as shown. The finished assembly should be 23.5 x 24.5".

The next step will be the assembly of the units into the quilt top.
